FORT COLLINS — Saturday represents a final chapter.
Colorado State will honor 26 players on senior day during Saturday's home finale against UNLV (5 p.m.; ROOT Sports), 10 of whom have been together for five seasons on the field, three head coaches (four, if you count Dave Baldwin's interim stint). They really are the last remnants of the Steve Fairchild era — linebacker Kevin Davis committed to Fairchild three days before he was let go, then reopened his recruitment and was resold by Jim McElwain — the coach who recruited them to turn the program around.
