Against Minnesota, Tyree Simmons came in and played extremely well, breaking up four passes in the overtime loss. Against Colorado, the junior was hit for two deep scores in a second overtime loss.
"One of the biggest things we talk about in the secondary is handling that adversity," Colorado State cornerbacks coach Terry Fair said. "For all the successes, that's not how you're judged; you're judged on how well you handle your failures in the secondary.
