FORT COLLINS — Colorado State will need a special performance next week, and that will include one by the special teams units.
In that regard, Saturday's 38-10 win over Abilene Christian was a mixed bag for Colorado State.
The obvious flaw was the blocked punt that produced the Wildcats' only touchdown in the game. There was also a flag that erased much of a long kickoff return for Detrich Clark, and Braxton Davis kicked a ball out of bounds to improve ACU's field position.
"I did not like obviously the blocked punt. It was something that was a simple assignment that we blew, and it cost us seven points," CSU coach Mike Bobo said.
