Colorado State football feeling time crunch

FORT COLLINS — Less time, fewer practices.

The hope for Colorado State is more knowledge will help make up for some of those hurdles with the season opener with Oregon State on Aug. 26, the first kickoff for the upcoming college football season.

The Rams return six starters on offense, eight on defense and a pair of specialists for grand total of 16. It's also a bit of a misleading figure.

It doesn't account for skill guys like Deitrich Clark or Izzy Matthews, or even offensive linemen Colby Meeks, Trae Moxley and Jeff Taylor, who have combined to appear in 68 games with 10 starts.
