Senior center Jake Bennett, a key piece to the top-scoring team in the Mountain West, will play in the 93rd-annual East-West Shrine Game, it was announced Thursday. The college football all-star game is Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Bennett has made 40 consecutive starts for the Rams, who have become one of the most prolific offenses in the country under his leadership. CSU ranks 10th in the country in yards per game at 501.0 and has allowed the third-fewest sacks per contest (.67).
"This is a great honor for Jake," coach Mike Bobo said in a release.
