Charges against Gian Clavell dropped

FORT COLLINS — The charges against senior guard Gian Clavell from an arrest made last month by the Colorado State University Police Department have been dropped, a Colorado State men's basketball team spokesperson confirmed through coach Larry Eustachy.

Clavell was charged by the CSUPD on July 16 with harassment and false imprisonment, both domestic violence charges, and was suspended indefinitely by coach Larry Eustachy.

Eustachy has reinstated Clavell, but the coach was not available for comment.

Clavell was arrested after CSUPD officers witnessed an on-campus incident between him and a female student.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Caguas, Puerto Rico, played a key role in the Rams' record-setting 2014-15 season.
