The 49ers will swap a reserve offensive lineman for an inside linebacker in a trade with the Vikings.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Instead of waiving center Nick Easton, which was previously reported, the 49ers will trade the reserve center to the Minnesota Vikings, along with a sixth-round draft pick, for linebacker Gerald Hodges.
CSN Bay Area was first to report of the trade, while ESPN reported the addition of the draft pick in the swap.
Prior to the trade, the 49ers had at inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman, Michael Wilhoite, Shayne Skov and special teamer Nick Bellore.
