The Rockies followed a familiar script in La La Land Sunday afternoon.
They lost 3-2 to the Dodgers, the bitter end coming on a solo home run by catcher Will Smith off Carlos Estevez in the eighth inning, one of three solo shots by Los Angeles.
The Rockies, who won a dramatic game Friday night, were hoping for a rare series victory at Dodger Stadium. Nothing doing.
So Colorado fell to 6-17 vs. the Dodgers over the past two seasons, 10-32 since 2019, and 17-45 since 2018.
With Friday’s trade deadline fast approaching, there were several scouts at Dodger Stadium.
