White Sox 10, Rockies 3: Missed opportunities spell Rox doom

For a team that put up a historically bad record last season, the Chicago White Sox looked like offensive contenders in their 10-3 battering of the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night. They delivered 15 hits while striking out five times with five walks, going 5-for-15 with runners in scoring position. The Rockies couldn’t get the big hit as the missed opportunities defined the night and handed them their 69th loss of the season.

As has been the case of late for the Rockies, they quickly fell behind early in the game. In the top of the first, doubles from Lenyn Sosa and Brooks Baldwin put the White Sox on the board first, followed by an RBI triple for Colson Montgomery to give them a 2-0 lead.
