Tyler Anderson to Make MLB Debut as Jake McGee Hits DL

With McGee going on the DL because of left knee inflammation, the door was opened for the 26-year-old Anderson to finally take the mound at Coors Field. He gives the Rockies another left-handed arm in the bullpen, joining Jorge De La Rosa and Boone Logan as options for Walt Weiss.

After missing the entire 2015 season following left elbow surgery, Anderson has made steady progress through the minors on his way to reaching the Rockies roster.

It started in High-A Modesto where he earned a no decision on May 8 while allowing two runs on two hits with six strikeouts in 3.
