The Rockies plan to use the final month of the season to re-evaluate their leadoff situation.
That’s not to say Charlie Blackmon, who has batted leadoff in 82 percent of the team’s games dating to opening day 2014, is for sure moving to a different spot in the lineup. But going forward into September, manager Bud Black said it’s likely Trevor Story will get an extended look in the No. 1 spot, where he batted for Wednesday’s series finale against Boston.
“You might see that for a while,” Black said. “Trevor has a lot of the same things we like about Charlie.
