The Rockies continue to confound.
After taking two of three games against the high-flying Dodgers in Los Angeles over the weekend, they messed up in Texas.
Despite two home runs from Irving, Texas, native Trevor Story, Colorado lost 4-3 to the lowly Rangers on Monday night at Globe Life Field. The Rangers own a 46-85 record.
Right-hander A.J. Alexy, making his big-league debut, pitched five scoreless innings and limited the Rockies to a single hit — a leadoff double by C.J. Cron in the second. Alexy had a bunch of three-ball counts but the Rockies never solved him.
