The Asheville Tourists took the first game of their postseason series against the Savannah Sand Gnats 5-to-1. It's a three game set, so the Tourists will try to clinch a spot in the SAL championship series when the teams meet again on Friday.
Jesus Tinoco just won't stop being awesome. The Third Prospect has been extremely impressive since joining the Tourists, and he continued making noise last night. He pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed just one run. Just as important, he struck out six batters and didn't walk a single one.
