SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — When the Rockies were able to get a late-inning lead last season, it often didn’t last. An injury-riddled Colorado bullpen posted a major-league worst 5.13 ERA and blew 28 saves.
Enter Mike Dunn and Greg Holland, a pair of 31-year-old relievers whom the Rockies signed this winter.
“These guys are adults. These guys are legit as far as being competitors. They’re men,” new Rockies manager Bud Black said. “They get it, they get how a bullpen works . . . those are two very good additions to some of the guys who had service time last year.
