The Colorado Rockies started their Cactus League slate (after a rain cancelled game) with a loss to the Los Angeles Angels. Subsequently, they have won three straight games to tie them for the best record in the Cactus League thus far. Those wins have partially come from the success of a lesser-known prospect: Bret Boswell.
Boswell, 25, spent the 2019 season in Double-A Hartford where he struggled mightily at the plate. In 106 games, he hit only .219/.290/.397 with 15 home runs and 39 RBI. He also played in the Arizona Fall League and only hit .098/.196/.122 in 46 plate appearances.
