LOS ANGELES -- Rockies shortstop Trevor Story left Monday night's game against the Dodgers in the fourth inning with an apparent injury.
Story swung and missed on a pitch from Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu and grimaced immediately. Manager Bud Black and assistant athletic trainer Scott Gehret came out to check, and Story left the game.
The Rockies came into the game holding a half-game lead over the Dodgers for first place in the National League West, and Story has slugged himself him into potential National League MVP Award consideration.
