Things were looking good. The Rockies had a 6-3 after seven innings, and win No. 13 looked possible.
Then it wasn’t.
In the final two innings of the game, Tyler Kinley, Zach Agnos and Ryan Ritter combined to give up seven runs and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on Wednesday night at Coors Field.
Bullpen Blues
Juan Mejia put up a scoreless frame in the seventh, but Tyler Kinley wasn’t as lucky. He gave up three bloop singles, with a strikeout in between, to load the bases with one out. He then walked Casey Schmitt to dent the Rockies lead to 6-4.
