Kyle Freeland, Cal Quantrill, Austin Gomber, Ryan Feltner, and Dakota Hudson have an 0-7 record and the highest ERA among starters in Major League Baseball at 6.61. They have the worst WHIP at 1.692, they rank No. 29 in batting average against at .309 and they have surrendered 11 homers (tied for fourth most in MLB).
In multiple metrics, the Rockies starters are just not good. At the same time, the stats are slightly deceptive. The rotation could just as easily be 5-4.
