On the mound: Left-hander Ty Blach, a graduate of Regis Jesuit High School, is pushing for a roster spot, possibly as a long reliever. Blach pitched three innings Wednesday, giving up two runs on five hits. He induced four groundball outs and the Royals had a number of grounders find holes through the infield for hits. “Ty changes speeds, commits to both sides of the plate,” manager Bud Black said. “There is a lot to like, so we’re going to continue to give him the ball.
