This was a disappointing game, to put it mildly. The Rockies failed to take advantage of a bad team, dropping a four game series at home three games to one.
Eddie Butler got pushed around Thursday night, allowing 11 hits, eight runs and walking two through four innings. Butler faced four batters in the top of the fifth inning and didn't retire one. The Rockies produced three long home runs off the likely bats of Nolan Arenado, Carlos Gonzalez and Trevor Story, whose homer drove in two. The Rockies dropped to 24-29 and an abysmal 2-5 against one of the worst teams in baseball.
