Rockies spring training report: German Marquez sharp vs. Cubs

Like a Realtor, Rockies right-hander German Marquez knows what’s important: location, location, location.

Earlier in spring training, Marquez told The Post he was mislocating his fastball too often last season, and also noted that he needs “more rise on the four-seam fastball and more sink on the two-seam fastball.”

So far this spring training, Marquez is meeting those goals. Tuesday night, he pitched four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and no walks against the Cubs.

“I’ve been working a lot on my delivery, staying behind the ball,” Marquez told MLB.com. “I feel like I had been dropping my fingers a little bit.
