DJ LeMahieu continues hitting. While calling him a "slugger" is an overstatement (he's unlikely to crack double digit home runs this season), his batted ball profile does show signs that he's barreling the ball a bit more. LeMahieu's slugging percentage is about 100 points higher than his career average. His batting average is up as well. Notably, his BABIP is about at his career norm, and it's even lower than it was last year. LeMahieu's line drive, groudball, and fly ball rates are almost exactly the same as they were last season. He's not hitting more line drives, but he might be hitting his line drives harder.
