The Rockies’ Ryan McMahon passed the first test, but getting to the finish line will be much tougher.
On Thursday, McMahon was named as one of three finalists to win a National League Gold Glove at third base. The problem is, his co-finalists are the Cardinals’ Nolan Arenado and the Padres’ Manny Machado. Both players are all-stars with high name recognition. Plus, Arenado has won a Gold Glove in each of his first eight major-league seasons.
