DENVER — The Colorado Rockies have announced that they have reinstated first baseman Mark Reynolds from the 15-day disabled list. Reynolds injured himself (fractured hamate bone) in the series against the Texas Rangers a few weeks ago on an awkward swing and apparently is not in need of any rehab starts, going straight from the DL back onto the active roster.
To make room for him (which is only a factor for one more day since the rosters are about to expand) Daniel Descalso has gone on paternity leave.
