Rockies rally in the 9th inning to beat Braves

ATLANTA — Resiliency, thy name is Rockies.

Trailing 5-4 entering the ninth inning Saturday night, the Rockies struck like lighting, scoring five runs with two outs to shock the Braves 9-5.

Charlie Blackmon laced a two-run, bases-loaded double off closer A.J. Minter, putting Colorado ahead 6-4. Trevor Story followed up with a three-run homer to deep left field off Dan Winkler. It was Story’s seventh home run of the season and his 15th consecutive game with a hit, a career high.

It was Colorado’s 10th win its last 12 games — not bad for a team that began the season 3-12.
