Rockies’ Raimel Tapia “testing his limits” on bases, with mixed results

By most measures, Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia has had a solid spring training. He’s fielded the ball well and is batting .264 after a 1-for-4 performance Saturday. However, after a one-out single in the third, he was picked off first base. It was the third time he’s been picked off in Cactus League action, but manager Bud Black is not overly concerned.

“We are challenging Raimel, and all of our guys, to get big leads that they are uncomfortable with,” Black said. “So, we are testing their limits.
