Rockies prospect Ryan Vilade goes perfect at the plate

Asheville Tourists’ DH Ryan Vilade (no. 10 PuRP) had a perfect day at the plate in the team’s blowout win over the Columbia Fireflies, recording three hits and a walk. Vilade is batting .361 in his last ten games (13-for-36), but this is his only RBI in that stretch. He also has nine runs scored, six walks, and eight strikeouts. On the season, he is hitting .276/.355/.369.

In Lancaster, JetHawks’ right fielder Vince Fernandez (no. 20 PuRP) went 1-for-2 with a home run. Fernandez is only batting .139 in his last ten games (5-for-36), but three of those five hits are home runs.
