Rockies prospect Raimel Tapia surely isn’t having the 2018 he wanted so far. Not because his performance has been bad (after last night he is slashing .287/.361/.569 in 20 games), but because of where he is doing it.

The Albuquerque Isotopes dropped a barnburner Friday night to the Las Vegas 51s, 11-9. Raimel Tapia was at the center of the offensive effort to try to overcome five (5!) Las Vegas home runs, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored. It’s his fourth multi-hit game in the last week as the hitter most often described as “preternatural” has pulled his average up from a paltry .
