Rockies prospect Jordan Patterson hits record-setting home run in Isotopes loss

Jordan Patterson hit his 21st bomb of the season yesterday, but more importantly collected his 61st home run wearing an Isotopes uniform—a new Albuquerque club record. Patterson entered Tuesday slashing .272/.372/.523 for the ‘Topes with an excellent .251 ISO on the year, second on the team (min 250 PA) only to Mike Tauchman’s .271 ISO. Jordan offers a lot of pop in his bat, and it’s certainly fitting that he will go down in the record books because of his ability to hit the ball over the wall.

Speaking of Tauchman, he had a big day at the plate, as well, going 3-for-4 and hitting a grand slam (his second this homestand) while collecting 5 RBI.
