Rockies prospect Brenton Doyle has yet to go hitless in July

The Hartford Yard Goats had a rough week, going 0-6 against the Portland Sea Dogs (BOS). But the other three teams posted winning records. The Isotopes have only lost two games thus far in July; the Indians have gone 6-4; and the Grizzlies have gone 8-2. The Goats, meanwhile, have only won three games thus far.

But Rockies outfield prospect Brenton Doyle (No. 12 PuRP) is having a fantastic July. Described by his former teammate Willie MacIver (HM PuRP) as “the most physically impressive player [he’s] ever played with,” the 6-foot-3, 220-pound outfielder is slashing .389/.421/.611 with two doubles, two home runs, six RBI, two walks, eight strikeouts, and four stolen bases in five attempts.
