The Rockies had a handful of excellent pitching performances at multiple levels yesterday. First, Kyle Freeland struck out seven batters and walked two in 5 2/3 innings pitched for Triple-A Albuquerque. He did, however, allow five hits and a dinger. For the Double-A Modesto Nuts, the Rockies' fifth round selection from 2015 draft Parker French was outstanding yesterday. He didn't allow a run and gave up five hits in seven innings, during which he didn't walk a batter and struck out nine. The 23-year-old French has seen success at both Asheville and Modesto this season. By 2017, he could be starting games for Hartford.
