Editor’s note: Fourth of a series analyzing the Colorado Rockies and looking toward the off-season. Today: The outfield
The Rockies have talent in the outfield — lots of it. That’s led to speculation that they will trade someone in order to improve other parts of their team, namely the bullpen and first base. The players that consistently pop up in trade rumors are center fielder Charlie Blackmon and right fielder Carlos Gonzalez.
But general manager Jeff Bridich said “not so fast.”
“Depth for me in the outfield is a good thing for us,” Bridich said toward the end of the season.
