Roberts is headed back to Albuquerque, creating a roster spot for Tuesday starter David Hale.
In nine appearances with the Rockies, Roberts -- a 27-year-old left-hander -- has allowed six runs on 13 hits and a pair of walks. He's struck out five.
Roberts was recalled by the Rockies when Boone Logan landed on the disabled list prior to the team's weekend set against the Padres.
