Rockies offense sputters after quick start in 6-4 defeat

An early 4-0 lead fell by the wayside and the team missed an opportunity to move into sole possession of first place.

One night after the biggest inning in franchise history, the Rockies again got off to a hot start on offense. Unfortunately for them, a four-run second frame against Madison Bumgarner wasn't enough and they dropped game two of their series with the Giants 6-4.

Things looked good early, as the Rockies jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the second. Nolan Arenado got the inning started with a looping double to right field, and Mark Reynolds scored him with a sharply hit single.
