Rockies’ offense earns tacos for the first time in 25 tries, Kyle Freeland deals again in win over Braves

ATLANTA — Tomorrow’s tacos never tasted so good.

Colorado scored more than six runs in a game for the first time in 25 tries on Friday, pairing an array of timely hits with another nails outing by staff ace Kyle Freeland to not only earn Taco Bell’s popular promotional giveaway, but a decisive 11-5 win at SunTrust Park as well.

The Braves nicked Freeland for a run in the first, but the club’s opening-frame bugaboos — reflected in its MLB-worst 7.67 ERA during the inning — did little to tarnish another strong showing by the southpaw, who has turned in eight quality starts over his past dozen outings.
