The Rockies’ reconfiguration of their front office continued Monday when the club named Nicky Schmidt senior vice president and chief revenue & strategy officer.
Her role is a new one for the Rockies.
According to the club, she will oversee ticketing, merchandise, and corporate partnerships departments. She will report directly to executive vice president Walker Monfort.
Schmidt comes to Colorado after more than 14 years working in the Cleveland Guardians front office.
“Nicky is an exceptional and innovative leader with a deep understanding of the modern sports business as shown through her time with the Guardians,” Monfort said in a statement.
