LOS ANGELES — Nolan Arenado looks to be a lock to be selected for the All-Star Game on July 12 in San Diego.
Rookie shortstop Trevor Story — who swatted his 16th home run Monday night — will get serious consideration. Story, who made major-league history by hitting a home run in each of his first four games, was in second place behind the Cubs’ Addison Russell in the shortstop race when the first round of fan voting was announced last week.
But what about right-handed starter Tyler Chatwood? It’s not often that a Rockies pitcher is considered, but Chatwood has some impressive credentials.
