How open is the Rockies’ contention window actually? I don’t remember their offense being this good since 2007, but the entire pitching rotation (besides Jon Gray, who has become solid even if not an ace) seems to have taken a large step back, after it was the main reason the team reached the playoffs the last two seasons. I know the rotation struggled early last year too, but unless their young pitchers learn how to perform consistently over an entire season and then carry it into the next year, I don’t know if they can be taken seriously as a contender.
