LOS ANGELES — The third time was no charm, just more heartbreak and frustration for the Rockies on Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium.
For the third consecutive game, the Dodgers won on a walk-off. This time, Will Smith hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning off Colorado’s Scott Oberg for a 6-3 win.
Like every other game in the series, the Rockies had to listen to Dodgers fans party like rock stars. By the way, all three of the Dodgers who hit walk-offs are rookies.
