Rockies lose another assistant general manager in second front office departure this month

With roughly five weeks remaining until the July 30 MLB trade deadline, it seems as if Rockies executives are the first ones on the move.

Colorado officials confirmed to The Post on Wednesday morning that former Rockies assistant general manager Zach Wilson has resigned from his post, and that assistant director of player development Chris Forbes will be stepping up to assume Wilson’s duties.

It’s the second departure of an assistant general manager in the last 10 days, as Jon Weil reportedly left the club by mutual consent earlier this month.

Wilson had also served as the Rockies’ farm director.
