Rockies lifeless in latest loss, fall to Padres 4-0

The San Diego Padres, who gave up 16 runs last night and 61 runs in their last six games seemed like the perfect opponent for the Rockies to right this ship against. Naturally, the Rockies were unable to push a single run across the plate tonight. In fact, they didn't even touch third base.

It was the latest in a series of embarrassing losses that have pushed the team to a season low six games under .500. Extrapolated out, their 24-30 record now puts them on pace to finish 72-90.

Drew Pomeranz, one or many former Rockie pitchers who seem more comfortable in their new home, allowed just two hits over seven shutout innings.
