LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Coming off their first playoff appearance since 2009, the Rockies believe they have a chance to get back in the hunt in 2018.
But in order to do that, they’ll have to retool at some key positions: closer, catcher, first base and right field.
Here is an update on where the Rockies’ offseason stands:
Closer/bullpen: The Rockies, as well as the Cardinals, have been linked to Tampa Bay in a possible trade for closer Alex Colome. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported Monday that the Rockies and Cardinals are “aggressively pursuing” Colome, who led baseball with 47 saves last season.
