The rebuilding Rockies are going to need name tags in their front office, because, as promised, they keep bringing in new faces.
The latest addition is longtime New York Mets executive Ian Levin, who was named a Rockies assistant general manager on Monday.
“Ian brings a proven record of strategic leadership, key roster decision-making, and innovative player performance initiatives,” Paul DePodesta, president of baseball operations, said in a statement. “With extensive experience across major league operations, research and development, player development and amateur scouting, Ian will strengthen every part of our operation. We couldn’t be more excited to bring him to the Rockies.
