Rockies’ German Marquez dazzles with one-two-three inning in all-star debut at Coors Field

German Marquez has been highly regarded by Rockies fans for several years. Many believe he’s capable of being the best pitcher in Colorado history, as evidenced by the 26-year-old having already flirted with a no-hitter twice in his young career.

Tuesday night at Coors Field, the nation got to see what the “Easy Cheese” hype was all about. Marquez threw a one-two-three fourth inning in his All-Star Game debut, flashing the same dominance he’s displayed while posting a 0.75 ERA over his past five starts.

“I wasn’t really overwhelmed by any pressure because it was one of those things where going in, you’re hoping it goes as well as it could,” Marquez said.
