SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Like unwanted bedfellows, the Rockies and Diamondbacks faced each other for the sixth time in a month Sunday. They familiarity bred apathy. Neither team was interested in giving the other one more chance to scout their complete staffs.

So the Rockies started right-handed prospect Yency Almonte and he was blasted for four runs on four hits, including a home run, and two walks in just one inning of Arizona’s runaway victory. After Jake Lamb lined an RBI double, Arizona shortstop Nick Ahmed brought him in with a two-run homer.
