Charlie Blackmon had a historic week and the league took notice.

The Rockies outfielder on Monday was named the National League player of the week. He became just the fourth player since 1900 to tally at least 20 hits and five home runs over a five-game span, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Blackmon, 32, hit 21-for-37 for a .568 batting average with four doubles, a triple, six homers and 15 RBIs. He recorded 15 hits during Colorado’s four-game series against the Padres — the most in a four-game series in the modern era.
