Rockies’ Charlie Blackmon lands on IL with lingering calf injury

Rockies right fielder Charlie Blackmon, still hobbled by a right calf strain, was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday prior to the Rockies’ game vs. Arizona at Coors Field.

Blackmon was replaced on the roster by outfielder Yonathan Daza, who was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque. Also, Colorado reinstated outfielder Noel Cuevas from the 10-day injured list (strained left quad) and have optioned him to Triple-A.

Blackmon’s move to the IL is retroactive to Friday. He is eligible to come off the IL on June 4 when the Rockies play the Cubs at Chicago.
