Rockies and Padres broke MLB record for most runs in a 4-game series

For one series, it was like the humidor didn’t exist at Coors Field.

The Rockies and the Padres combined for an incredible 92 runs in their series. It was the most in a four-game series since 1900, breaking the 88 totaled by the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies in 1929, according to the Rockies.

Here’s a look at some of the other numbers they put up:

  • Colorado’s 48 runs were the third most in a four-game series in franchise history (the record is 52 back in 1996 against the Dodgers).
