The Colorado Rockies officially acquired left-handed relief pitcher James Pazos from the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday evening. Pazos has struggled in a small sample of 7 1/3 innings for Triple-A this season, collecting seven walks against four strikeouts. He was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Wednesday.
Pazos, who will turn 28 on May 5, has had better numbers at the major league level as recently as the 2018 season. For the Seattle Mariners, Pazos pitched 50 innings of 2.
