With their infield depth quickly going from overstocked to tenuous, the Colorado Rockies have found themselves reuniting with a familiar—and defensively versatile—face.

On Saturday evening, the Rockies have acquired utility infielder Alan Trejo from the Texas Rangers for cash considerations.

Trejo, now 28, was drafted by the Rockies in 2017 and made his professional debut with the team in 2021. He was designated for assignment last summer and has since spent time with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers organizations via their Triple-A affiliates.
